Welcome to the website of the Redruth Old Cornwall Society.

Our museum has been getting considerable publicity recently for its acquisition of a War diary. For more details see the Museum page.

The Redruth Old Cornwall Society is a member of the Federation of Old Cornwall Societies which consists of 46 different societies from towns and villages throughout Cornwall.

Membership of Redruth Old Cornwall Society is open to all who are interested in Cornwall and its heritage. Meetings are held at the Wesley Jubilee Hall, Wesley Street, Redruth at 7.30 p.m., usually on the second Friday of each month from September to April inclusive. Light refreshments are available at the end of each meeting.

Other events include guided excursions to places of interest, the Old Cornwall Society festivals, the Gorsedd, the Midsummer Eve bonfire and Crying the Neck ceremonies. Also we celebrate St. Euny Feast in February and have an annual Christmas Lunch in early December.

Old Photos - Can You Help?

I wonder if you are able to help put some names or places to these old photographs or give any information on the photographers. If you can help then please contact Jocelyn direct by e-mail.
